Started out great, the HR staff were amazing and very responsive. Was contacted to set up a phone interview which went very well. The interviewer said he would be my supervisor if hired and that I was more than qualified for the position. My name was moved forward and a video interview was set up and I was sent a link to join and speak with someone hire up I the company. I joined the video call via the link and waited for the his to join. About 15 minutes later my phone rang and it was some kid who just woke up asking if I was ready for my interview. He seemed to have someone else's resume, misquoted my cover letter and refused to accept any correction or answer given. He told me that working in special electronic maintenance, IT, and R and D for 6 years in the Army did not meet the 0 years required(2 preferred) of technical experience(I have also been working on the very technical side of event production for 5 years. And went on to spend the next 45 minutes interviewing me for a different position than I had applied for and passed ky first round for. About every 5 minutes he reminded me that military experience was worthless and that I had no relevant skills(which is not true). In the end however there was hope because he said it went well, I seemed like a good fit and HR would be in contact with me about next steps. About 3am the next morning he bypassed HR to send me an email himself telling me to apply again when I have more experience. The company seems great and everyone else in this process was awesome, it is a shame that I did not get the position because one person discriminates against veterans and was either misinformed about the position I was applying to, or just didn't feel like doing an interview that day. I still play their game daily and will continue to apply with the company and not judge them based on one bad employee because everything else in the process was awesome.
