      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 4 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso RivalHealth (Raleigh, NC) nel mese di ago 2016

      Colloquio

I applied for the Software Engineer in August 2016. The process took 4+ weeks. First I had a brief 30 minute introductory phone interview with the COO to discuss the company and what I was looking for to see if there could be a possible fit. A couple weeks later, I had another phone interview with the CTO where we reviewed my resume, talked about my experience, and discussed what I was looking for in RivalHealth as well. I was anticipating a technical interview but it seemed to just be another interview trying to gauge how I could fit in with the culture. About a week later I was invited for an on-site visit and interview with the development team. I was shown around the office space and introduced to each of the departments. The office space is very open and everyone was friendly. The interview with the development team (about 5-6 people) took place in a conference room and they asked me about my experiences and more behavioral questions. The lead software developer had to leave early during the interview and the interview finished briefly afterwards as the other developers weren't sure what else to ask me. I then met with HR and talked about the benefits package. After the discussion with HR, I had a discussion with the CTO about when I would be able to start and salary. This visit lasted about 3 hours. The following week I had another on-site visit and I sat down to talk with the Marketing and Sales team. This was a more casual conversation as they talked about what the culture was like and what they enjoyed most about working at Rival Health. This visit lasted about 30 minutes. After this meeting I was told to expect a phone call the following week regarding their decision for my employment. Two weeks had passed and I sent a follow-up email just to check in and let them know I was still interested in the position. I never received a reply or phone call after that email. Overall the interview process was pretty casual and easy, relative to the interviews I've had with other companies. It seemed more behavioral than technical as if it were mostly a measure of company fit. I did feel mislead about receiving an offer from them soon because I was constantly told that my resume was "impressive", that I "could be put anywhere-front-end, back-end, design", and "if I could hire you today, I could" but then I was never notified of whether or not I had received an offer. It would have been nice to have received some kind of follow up even if I was not extended an offer.
