Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Roblox (San Francisco, CA) nel mese di apr 2020
Colloquio
They ghosted me after the on-site!
Everything was positive about the interview experience (until that).
The initial contacts were friendly and I took this as an encouraging sign. Right before my “virtual on-site” they gave me a “virtual tour” of the office space (Covid-19 signs of the times). My hosts even invited my kid (an avid Roblox fan) to join, which I thought was pretty cool of them.
They outsourced my technical phone screen. That’s a little unusual, but probably not a bad idea. I’ve done a lot of each tech phone screens myself, and even though each one might just be an hour long, there’s an additional productivity cost of an hour or two beyond that (including writing feedback, interrupted flow of work, discussing the candidate in a roundup, etc.)
I thought the actual on-site went well. I solved all of the technical problems they asked, and I felt like I had a good rapport with the team and the hiring manager. After the on-site, the recruiter said he’d be in touch within a couple of days to let me know how it went.
It’s been over two weeks now, and not a peep from them. I’ve sent emails to both the recruiter and the hiring manager asking for an update. No response.
An impersonal rejection letter is a little cold, but it’s still within the bounds of being professional. Leaving people hanging is not professional at all.

Domanda 1
The questions were relevant to games. Simple games, given the allotted time (30-45 min) to solve the problems.
Took an OA. Pretty difficult leetcode style questions and some games (Roblox games and psychology based games to determine personality traits). I did not get through the initial online assessment.

One standard hr phone call then one 60 min phone screen. Nothing out of the ordinary. Phone screen was done on codesignal where you could see code compile and run
Interview consisted of two leetcode style questions and two "games" that tested problem solving and optimization. Coding questions were of medium/hard difficulty. The games were difficult as the instructions given were terrible and unintuitive.
