There was a 1.5-2 hour online game assessment, 30 min product sense/screen, 1.5 hour onsite with product case and system design. Nothing super crazy or unusual for PM questions though they do expect technical knowledge.

First is the roblox assessment, you play games/explain your self. If you get selected then there is an interview process. 3 stages, technical, creative solutions and problem solving, communication and collaberation. They were all around 45 minutes spaced out with different people for each one.

After I first submitted my availability, it took about a week for the team to reach back out to me. They scheduled an interview with me at a time that I didn't select as available. I emailed back asking for another time, but they never emailed me the confirmation of the new time slot. I received a call at the time they thought I was available but the interviewer was surprised to hear that there was no communication from the recruiting team to me. After that, they rescheduled me again with I'm assuming a hiring manager and current APM. They had to reschedule that last minute (which was fine with me), but then I was moved to a recruiter phone screen.
The recruiter phone screen was very brief and went over very general HR questions. I received a phone call from my recruiter 2 days later informing me that the team was looking for someone with more PM experience (for context I have a CS degree and 2 PM internships).
I honestly wouldn't mind if they didn't move forward with my application if it was due to my lack of interviewing skills. But the frustrating part is that on the job listing, one of the requirements is:
"Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field or upto 2 years experience in product management, management consulting, or related field"
Again, I have a bachelors in CS so I should be qualified for this role. It's frustrating because I'm sure Roblox is a very good company to work for.
I gave this feedback to the recruiting team and they were very open and willing to hear my feedback. Despite how awful this experience was initially, it was made a lot better with how receptive the recruiting team is to feedback. That's a sign of improvement, so I'm a lot more comfortable applying here in the future.
Thank you for sharing your experience. As you noted, we're very interested in making our recruitment and interviewing process as seamless as possible, so we take your comments very seriously. If you'd like to share any further insights, please contact us at feedback@roblox.com.
