Talked to all stake holders, was given a depiction of the the expected role. As it turned out the role was not accurately presented but the person I was replacing was in a hurry to be replaced so he painted a rather generous picture. Additionally i was in such a hurry to leave my previous job I was not seeing the warning signs of why he was leaving.
