Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite segnalazione di un dipendente. La procedura ha richiesto 6 giorni. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Roku (San Jose, CA) nel mese di ago 2020
Colloquio
In a time where companies are hiring like wildfire roles to start, maintain, or do better at diversity initiatives Roku completely missed the mark. In interviewing, my recruiter called me 15 minutes late. For a newly created role for a function that has yet to exist at the company, I immediately was asked "what did your previous title mean" followed by a critique that they require someone who's been a Program Manager and need 5-7 years of experience. I was not given the opportunity to share my experience, projects, what I have to offer before getting disqualified early on in this call based off things that could be seen in screening my resume?
Not only is this extremely limiting to the funnel of talent (diverse, qualified, and talent with lived experiences that Tech needs more of), but the delivery from this recruiter was entirely biased to start an interview asking about "Title" and "Years of Experience". We must do better and shatter these standards/requirements of what makes a person qualified or not qualified...Poor preparation, biased, and only solidified the red flags I had in not wanting to spend my energy for a company who treats candidates like this.

What exactly does the title you held at your previous company mean?...Oh it wasn't titled a Program Manager?
