Submitted resume and application online. Heard back within a day or two. Scheduled a phone interview as a get to know you and your fit for the company discussion. The guy I had the phone interview with was really laid back and really just getting a sense of your competency and general personality. Scheduled an on-site interview almost immediately following that phone interview. On-site interview started with lunch with all other candidates (8-12 interviewees, not all interviewing for the same position; some were for software, some systems, and some co-ops) and some RoviSys employees from all backgrounds. Followed lunch with a presentation about what RoviSys does and what makes it a great company to work for. Then, we toured the facility as a group, and at the end of the tour, we were each assigned to our own office to wait for our first of 6 interviews. These interviews were laid back conversations with interviewers from a wide range of backgrounds (project managers, software developers, project engineers, etc.). Each interviewer had a unique topic they were to discuss with you, such as travel opportunities, growth opportunities, and company events. The interviewers did not have a set list of questions, they each just came up with their own ways of getting to know you and tell if you’re the right fit for the company. They were heavily concentrated on leadership, adaptability, comfortability in a client facility, and self-motivation. My advice is simple: 1) Do your research and know what RoviSys does and how your qualifications contribute to their business. 2) Be yourself and relax, while staying professional (typical interview manners: shake hands, eye contact, stand when interviewers walk in or out of the room, ask them how they are doing, etc.). 3) Be confident. 4) Be enthusiastic. Smile a little! 5) Have questions, good ones about the topics above (culture, travel, responsibilities, growth opportunities, etc.). The more questions you ask, the more it will feel like a personable conversation instead of a traditional interview. Question, answer, question, answer, etc.
