Colloquio
Applied and a recruiter got back to me over a month later.
The interviews themselves were pretty uneventful. First interview with the recruiter, then a 2nd interview with the President + Underwriter both went well enough. I was then told that the local team wanted to "take me to lunch", where a few questions were asked.
Afterwards, all parties went radio silent for one week. Almost exactly one week after meeting the local team (Note: President and Underwriter I interviewed with were NOT part of this meeting), I was declined. I was told that they needed to fill this position urgently, but they didn't reach out to me for a full month after my application, and decided to sit on my status for a full week before declining. Not sure they're really as pressured to find additional help as they claim.
I applied online, and then had a phone interview with a recruiter from RSG. It was a friendly discussion with the standard first round interview questions ("Walk me through your experience" etc). At the end of the call I was told that the recruiter would like to set up a follow up call with the hiring manager, and I should look out for her email in the next few days. I didn't hear anything until almost three months later, when I received an email out of the blue saying my experience did not meet the requirements, which was a little incongruent with what the recruiter had told me on the phone.
The process could be improved by honoring any commitments to follow up with candidates, and being more transparent in their reasoning.
