      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Ryder System (Alburtis, PA) nel mese di ott 2018

      Colloquio

First part was a short interview by an in house recruiter. That went well, then a few days later there was a phone interview . That interview did not spend much time going over skills, but whether or not I can say no to a customer, if I can hide problems from the customer until they are fixed and basically if I was alright with being yelled at and how I would handle being yelled at. Numerous times I was told that the customer was very difficult to deal with. A few days later I was scheduled for an interview with a higher ranked person. That interview went well, but once again instead of focusing on skills, there was a large push on what my perfect boss would be and how to handle certain situations. Once again I was told how difficult the customer is to deal with and the account is about to be lost. A few days after that interview I was scheduled for an on premise interview and that they would like to take me to lunch. I interviewed with the original interviewer in person, was told how horrible the amount of work is and lack of work life balance, told about the revolving door of supervisors and then continued to be asked about how I would deal with the customer being angry after they continually fail to deliver and cannot give estimated times of delivery. Then I was passed on two two other people just to kill time as they waited for my next official interviewer. That person did not have much interest and was told not to worry about him since he will probably be transferred or moved someone else soon and that position was a revolving door. Went over some basic logistics and warehouse talk, nothing special, but was told how difficult the customer was. Then interviewed with two more people and went over some technical parts, nothing too personal on skills were asked. Then it was time for lunch with the original interviewr, an operations person and another manager. Most of the car ride and lunch was me listening to them trash the company and other employees, complain about the lack of work life balance and occasionally answer some questions on logistics. After the lunch I was told that a summary would be completed and I would receive feedback within 3-4 business days. After waiting a week, I emailed the recruiter if there was and feedback and did not receive a response. After two weeks I emailed again and still did not receive any feedback. It is now three weeks later and I've been ghosted, not even a no or we will get back to you later. I can see why they are going to lose the account. The amount of people remotely working on several accounts and not having enough non-work time to decompress is making it evident that they are unable to properly perform their duties. The culture is very toxic and spreads quickly. It is extremely difficult to go over the ways you would hide information from the customer or how well you will handle getting yelled at for failure to make an update that the IT Department and CIO will not give an estimate for. They seemed to be more interested in hiring the right punching bag that would not sue. If they actually cared about skills they would not have told me, "I'll make sure you can write a SQL statement after I hire you".

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

What kind of boss is your ultimate boss? I would not ask you to do anything illegal but can you stay quiet when there is a problem?
