Applied for Java/Golang Developer in R& D at SAS.
Interview consists of 5 rounds which is stupid 2-3 rounds are enough to judge a candidate.
First round was on microsoft meetings webcam interview. It was general discussion with manager.
After 2 weeks second round was scheduled, I even forgot I had applied for SAS. It was based on pure Java knowledge and spring boot. In java they are fixated on hasCode() and equals() method: there were 8 questions on this only. In Springboot general questions like folder structure, annotations etc. Interview was easy.
By that time I already had an offer so I told HR that I am excepting at least 12.5 LPA because I already hold 11 LPA offer. By the way I am 3+ years experienced.
HR told that she can't give more than 10 LPA so I declined further process.
Conclusion: SAS is a small company. Asking Java and springboot questions i.e. language specific questions instead of checking DSA and problem solving skills proves the quality of R & D company does. Rest is up to you. Don't have high expectations in terms of work quality.
