The interview itself was fairly straightforward and pleasant. The questions were exactly what you would expect for a research position (recent research projects, technical skills, etc). My overall experience was negative due to the fact I never received a follow up after the interview, not even a rejection, six months after my interview. When I had previously applied for a position with SEIU 775 and didn't even receive an interview, I was at least informed I wasn't moved forward. In this case, I was never contacted again after my interview. I accepted another offer soon after and thus didn’t follow up myself, but never following up with an interview applicant appears extremely unprofessional.
