      The staffting recruiter reached out to me. After a phone call with the recruiter, I had a meeting with the hiring manager. After that, he sent out up to 10-hour take-home assignment to build an API service. I followed the guideline and submitted the assignment. A few days later, I received a positive feedback and they wanted to have 4-hour long interviews with 4 different team members. First interview with a software engineer was decent. I was a bit confused with few of his questions but he clarified them for me. Second interview was with the senior dev which was friendly and respectful. But I had a strong negative experience with 3rd interview with the designer. First of all, 3rd interview with the designer only lasted 15 minutes, which was originially scheduled for 45 - 60 minutes. Second, all these random questions he asked was irrelevant and random questions. There was probably one or two questions related to the company or position. Third, he was constantly moving up and down in the video as if he was on elliptical exercise machine (basically working out during the whole interview). How unprofessional is that? And after that, I had to wait for another hour until the last interview with the hiring manager. This part went okay. A few days later, I've received a rejection through the staffing recruiter. What's deeply disappointing is that they didn't even bother to provide any specific feedback to the candidate who spent their spare time to work on their up to 10-hour take-home assignment. Just very unethical and lazy. It could've been as simple as "we are looking for this particular skill, but other candidate seems to have better knowledge". But based on what the staffing recruiter said, they just said no and moved on. After finding few red flags with this experience, I'd suggest you to look for the other company who will value their candidates with more respect. They will tell you that they really like you, but they will turn their back on you if you didn't meet their expectation.
