I had the initial recruiter call. The recruiter told me there would be two rounds of interviews: One with the manager and the other with the developers. Recruiter set up the first call with the manager and told me that it would be a behavior and resume walk-through. I joined the call and there were few developers in the call. After the introduction, I asked them if the manager is running late for the meeting. They told me that he is not going to join and they were asked to take the interview in his stead. I didn't mind that and continued with the interview. It turned out to be a technical interview and not a resume walkthrough or behavioral interview. The questions were easy but I wasn't prepared for a technical interview and I didn't do well. Never heard back from the recruiter after the interview. Please do not ghost any candidate. When you tell the candidate that you'll get back in a week, please do so.
