I had found the position opening online at Monster and/or Career Builder. A recruiting firm was the contact, so I sent my resume directly to them and finally got a call back expressing interest after a few weeks. The recruiter presented my resume and skills to the hiring manager. The recruiter set up an initial phone screen interview between myself and the hiring manager. After that, I went onsite to the company a few weeks later (becasue the hiring manager worked out of another office instead of that location) for an in person interview. The interview lasted about 4 hours including a plant tour and meeting about 5 people for one on one questions.
