My last interview w was not like most. The position I was interviewing for had an interim Director. She was very abrupt and rude. She displayed a distinct look of “stank face ” frequently during the interview. At one point during the interview she even told me I knew nothing about the position I was applying for. She said I was getting palliative confused with Hospice. I am a palliative nurse currently and have also been a Hospice nurse a few years back for SSM! During the interview I had told her I was willing to learn all aspects of the job in this inpatient setting for palliative care. I currently am in the home health setting and do palliative nursing. It was an odd dynamic. However having worked for Ssm many years, I have interviewed other times for other positions and have had charming and fun interviews. I believe this was just a fluke. I am still reeling though. The peer interview was lovely and the team asked scenario questions. “Tell me about a time when……..”
