An internal recruiter direct messaged me on LinkedIn. The process from first contact to offer was 8 business days. This was very fast but didn't feel uncomfortable to me - it made me feel like the team made me a priority. I met with the hiring manager + 3 other teammates, and then answered some take-home questions. I feel the questions were appropriate for the role and took an acceptable amount of time to answer. Overall, I had a great experience interviewing and the consistent communication was much appreciated.

Interview process wasn’t difficult, team seemed nice and hungry to succeed. Was given a verbal offer, the CEO wanted to meet me, there were a few questions I posed to senior execs that couldn’t answer me, so they conveyed I ask the CEO.
The questions, it was concerning why Google has banned SafeGraph from there play store and how data privacy can possibly derail the company mission if Apple was to do the same on their App Store.
All in all, I liked the team but didn’t like the CEO, as a sales leader I found it also interesting this CEO hates Marketers, thinks they’re all useless, from a previous presentation he had done. From a sales perspective I understand it means we have to manage the whole sales process from lead gen to all the way to close. I’m glad I didn’t land here, because with all the abortion clinics data they sold, SafeGraph is getting continuous bad press atm.
I personally cannot follow a leader who seems lack a moral compass

Recruiter reached out via LinkedIn commenting on my work history being a great fit and setup a call. On the video conference, I immediately got the impression the interviewer was uninterested. It appeared they had just rolled out of bed to get on the phone almost completely unprepared for our call. It’s not hard to fill 15 minutes but after about 5 I was wondering what I was doing on the call as it seemed the interviewer was trying to think of what to say next. They asked nothing about technical knowledge but what I did in my current role, which is the same as the one I was interviewing for. The recruiter knew little about the tech or the company itself.
While I got a “not a good fit” email back, which I appreciate instead of a ghost, it was definitely mutual. Best of luck Safegraph but get people who know the roles they’re interviewing for and training them to show at least a modicum of interest I’d they’re going to take time out of peoples’ day for calls.
