I basically begged for this job. First job out of highschool and it was an awkward first experience. Applied online and was not called at all so I decided to give them a call and the hiring manager was really nice and scheduled an interview with me. I came in at 6am when she scheduled me and asked for her but she wasn't there. Other workers told me she was off that day. I went home and was bummed. After 2 days I decided to give her a call again and she was relieved to hear me, she said she apologized for not being there but "something came up" and she also said she wanted to call me but had lost my phone number.. She set up another interview and she was there. I showed up and she talked to me for a couple of minutes and then offered me the job. I started orientation 2 weeks later and when I was done with the sexual harassment course and all of that stuff she asked if I could actually start working that day because they were short-staffed. It was interesting to say the least.
