The interview process was very open and honest, which is surprisingly difficult to find these days. I was contacted about a week after submitting my resume via Salem's website and was brought in for an in-person interview with two hiring managers. The questions were what I expected for the position, nothing too challenging. They gave me plenty of time to ask questions of my own and were gracious and honest in their answers. At the end of the interview, I was told that they would be selecting candidates to meet with the office manager before making a final decision. They promptly called me about two days later to set up the second interview, which ended up being very similar to the first. The office manager had a few new questions and seemed to just be making sure that I would fit in well at the office. After the interview was over, I was given a tour of the office and met a lot of the staff members. They called me later that day to offer me the position which I gladly accepted. It's really rare to find an employer that seems to respect job seekers and value their time, but I really felt that the hiring managers at Salem did just that. That really speaks volumes about this company and the people they employ. I'm glad to be joining their team!
