A recruiter had reached out to me about another role months before, and when I saw the role I'd eventually take, I reached out to her after I applied. She put me in touch directly with the hiring manager a few days later. I had only three interviews with the hiring manager (COO/CFO of Samsung TV Plus, Director of Finance, and VP of Content and Programming. I had another interview scheduled in a few days with the Sr. Director of Product Management when the recruiter called me and offered me the position because the team was sure. It was very reassuring and made my decision much easier.

Speedy but slightly chaotic recruiter outreach. 3 rounds. #1 Initial lead recruiter screening. They were VERY honest about the culture issues at the company to the point of being actively being off putting. 2nd interview was with the actual hiring manager. Interview went 30 minutes over and in-depth. Final round was 30 minutes each with people from the team. Everyone was remote. Zero follow-up after the final interview day which didn't feel great but ultimately didn't feel out of character for the company culture based on the initial screening conversation. Fast and more reactionary over thoughtful and strategic.

Hiring manager made me do an exercise for the final panel interview that was about 20 hours worth of work. This was a bit insulting and a lot to ask of someone who is working full time for another company. On top of all that, the VP was chauvinistic, telling me he knows it's intimidating having an all male panel interview me (which it wasn't intimidating) and then he told me happy International Women's Day, as if that pointless date is supposed to mean something to me. After all of that, I was offered a more junior role than the one I competed for. It was a complete waste of my time.
