Interviewed on site - About 5 1:1 interviews with different members of the division, lunch, presentation. People were generally friendly and interested in me, possibly a bit arrogant. Striking that I did not meet a single woman (apart from the office assistant) during the whole process. I suppose the all white german, 40-55 middle-aged men prefer to stay among themselves. Also, the whole lab/atmosphere etc felt as if it is still 2000. Maybe also the reason why there are only men working.
