Schibsted are a famous brand in Scandanavia but are relatively unknown in Britain, which made their interview style particularly baffling.
It was definitely a one-way interview process "are you the right candidate for our company?"; they did not try to sell the job or company to me. Schibsted were very cagey about the job requirements and technologies, which made it difficult to understand what they were looking for and whether the job would interest me. It became apparent that I was just meant to be impressed by their name.
The interview process consisted of an initial phone interview by HR followed by 4x 1 hour face-to-faces, which required a day off work. Each face-to-face was only conducted by one interviewer, which increased the risk of an unfair interview, and the length of time allocated to the interviews seemed disproportionate to the task in hand. For example, I was ideally expected to complete the coding exercise in less than 5 minutes, although the room was booked for an hour. Also, each interviewer had a different idea about what they wanted and it soon became clear that the company had no idea what type of candidate and qualities they were looking for.
I believe that Schibsted are in the process of improving their interview process and clarifying the job spec. My advice to any candidate is to make sure that you have a clear understanding of the job and skills prior to dedicating a large portion of your time to Schibsted's interview process.

The usual questions about linux commands, networking and processes, plus a coding exercise.

The interview process is kinda confuse. The recruiter asked me for a call with the HR but, in the end, I got a call with an engineer. It was supposed to be a 30min call starting at 7am and I got in the conference link on time but nobody got in. I emailed the recruiter and he called me and asked to wait a little bit more to get interviewed. Then got interview by a engineer who had a 45 min delay and made confuse questions. Seems like he was unprepared for the call. Some of the questions he said that nobody could understand when he asked it. eg.: what are the 4 steps for a tcp connection? I had to make lots of questions to understand what he want.

Questions about networking and operation systems. what is a zombie process? what is the difference between a http put and http post? what is the difference between tcp and udp? why is cloud defined as elastic? what you can see as a result for the netstat command?

Applied online since all my technical skills where inside the area specified in the job description.
Phone interview was done, but interviewer had issues with his computer and connection. Interview was also delayed with 15 mins. After first interview a second in office interview was done, where other areas then described in job description where discussed. Overall interview was good, but didn't match up to the wanted skillsets of the interviewers.

Very thorough Interview , consisted of a total of 6 interviews, 4 of them technical: General, DevOps, Coding, Networking/Security,were a bit challenging but went really well, interviewers were really cool and got additional info in the process, besides HR at the beginning and Culture fit at the end. Got my application accepted after 4 weeks in total, and an offer 10 days after.
