I was contacted via email after applying on Scotiabank career site several months ago. First interview was telephone based where I was questioned about my sales experience, strengths and weaknesses and why I was interested in Scotiabank. The role was described in detail, including salary and benefits, hours, opportunities for advancement etc.. I was given an opportunity to ask questions. On conclusion I was scheduled for 2nd interview (also via phone) for next week.

It is a multiple stage interview process: First phone pre interview with the recruiter, zoom interview with a branch manager and zoom panel with a branch manager and someone from the district administrative team.

It has taken longer than expected. About a month to complete the interviews and the whole process. It took about 1 week after applying to be contacted for first interview and then another 15 days for second interview. The interviewer was to the point and not very friendly, but very honest and clear about pay and what I will need to do once I start.

Very friendly and focused on creating a dialogue, have to go through multiple interviews so only negative is that it can take quite a while to actually get to the end with an offer
