The interview was a one on one with the regional manager at local coffee shop. She was very welcoming and immediately broke the ice. She gave a quick 2 minute spiel about the company and then to my complete surprise, just opened it up to questions immediately. Expecting a more traditional interview I was both slightly relieved and shocked since I didn't come up with enough questions to fill the whole 20-30 minute interview. So I had to come up with them off the top of my head by the time I got half way through the interview. Overall she seemed pleased with me as a candidate and even discussed the doctor I was going to be paired with, going into personal details and whether or not I'll be compatible with them. When the interview ended she said that I would hear back later today or tomorrow. The impression that she gave was that I was already in and that its only a matter of getting through the formalities. A week went by with no response, and then a month, and then 6 weeks total. Each week I would send a polite reminder email, but no response. Eventually after 6 weeks I got a terse copy paste rejection email with no explanation or apology for the lack of response. Overall it was a totally haphazard and unprofessional process that completely disregarded the applicant.
