Colloquio
I interviewed with the Assistant Director for my program for my first-year my internship in grad school. It was a relaxed atmosphere. Interview was about 30 minutes long. Generally wanted to know about my interest, experience, background. No trick questions. Pretty straight forward.

It was only two interviews. First one was with the Program Director and the second one was with his boss (I don't remember her job title). I didn't get great vibes from either interviewer. It didn't feel like we connected, but I ended up getting a job offer. The HR person was pushy for me to give a decision right away. I asked for a week to think about it and he said that was too long. Ultimately, he gave me from Friday to Tuesday morning, but I had to push for that. The whole process felt very odd and it left a bad taste in my mouth, which was already there because of the very low salary that they wouldn't budge on because of their "funders" ($60,000, and I have an MSW. Meanwhile, their CEO makes over $600,000). It got even worse when I saw how much I would be paying out of pocket for health insurance. It seems this place is like a rusty old factory that just needs heads. I can see that a lot of young people out of school get hired here, probably because they are willing to work the low-paying jobs (still getting help from their parents as well) and either don't know any better or see this as a stepping stone. I don't think many older or experienced people would tolerate this. Judging from LinkedIn profiles of people who work here, there doesn't seem to be a lot of career mobility here either. I would avoid this place if I were you!

The interview process was mostly conversing on experience. The program director and the supervisor interviewed me during the same interview and it was pleasant to meet them both and they were focused on my experience.
