Interviewed by someone senior, who to my surprise (or not), made stereotypical remarks in a condescending manner. Interviewer kept interrupting to only ask and hear what he/she wanted to know.

A lot of reiterating on having advance expertise using Excel and managing high volume of work. A bit short on understanding the career path they plan. Basically hiring to get a job done.

Colloquio
Went through 2 rounds of interview. Recruiter and HR were very efficient in arranging the interviews and preparing for the pre-offer. The whole process from first round of interview to second round interview to pre-offer took approximately 1.5 weeks. Pre-offer includes agreed upon compensation and reference check performed.
However, when it comes to the final approval of the hiring department, it took more than 2 weeks. Recruiter and HR have been chasing for the approval and after 2 weeks after the pre-offer was submitted, the hiring department said that the compensation was overbudget.
This is unprofessional as:
1) The agreed compensation has been agreed upon with HR during the pre-offer stage and reference check has been done at that point of time.
2) Being in the pre-offer stage, all incoming interviews were rejected and job-search was put on hold for the past 2 weeks
3) The agreed upon compensation had already been compromised and after 2 weeks, the compensation was expected to be further compromised.
