They reached out to me to apply via a recruiter. Overly long and opaque interview process. There were 4 rounds of interviews with various people on the team. This was followed by a writing prompt. Finally, I had to prepare a PowerPoint and present to part of the team. They wasted no time after the presentation in asking me for my slide deck, only to follow up with a rejection shortly thereafter. The entire process took over 2 months. The most annoying part of the process is that they were not upfront in telling me what was involved further down the interview process, i.e., that I’d have to spend considerable time and effort responding to a writing prompt and preparing a presentation. Had they told me this upfront, I might not have gone through the interview process. But they only told me this after I had finished the first traditional interview rounds. Doing this extra work for free while working my full-time job was not easy. By the end, the whole process felt like a colossal waste of time.
