I found the job on LinkedIn. Did some homework and found a current work associate had worked there. We talked quite a bit and even though he warned me of some concerns with the company we both felt that it might have been his personal experience and not a general issue with the company.
My coworker introduced me to the VP of services who thought I was a good fit and put me in touch with the recruiter and senior Director.
The call with the recruiter went well. In fact, there were 2 positions he thought I was a fit for and they both reported to the same senior director so we set up a call.
The call with the senior director was a waste of time. He was completely distracted, obviously doing something else why we were talking. I suspect he was reading his email. I knew pretty quickly in the call that nothing was going to come of this opportunity so after about 20 minutes I graciously ended the interview.
