Interviewed with some freelance recruiter. I was given a coding challenge which was fairly easy. They took over 3+ weeks to get back to me with the result.
The technical feedback was poor and very biased. To whoever corrected the challenge, there are multiple ways of solving a problem and if the problem statement is not clear enough any correct method should be accepted. It was not the case at Seven Senders. Poor software engineers... lack of knowledge
Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 giorni. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Seven Senders (Germany, GA) nel mese di ott 2021
Colloquio
I first had to pass the MCQ online examination on PHP/HTML/CSS/JavaScript. Although I didn't receive an offer, it was one of the best interview experiences I've had. I was interviewed by an Indian and an Iranian engineer, and they were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Right from the start, they created such a comfortable atmosphere that I felt like I was talking to friends. This instantly boosted my confidence, and the entire interview felt more like a technical discussion than a formal evaluation.
They had a very collaborative approach — even when I didn’t know something, they would gently guide me in a way that felt more like a team brainstorming session than a test. It genuinely felt like the kind of team I’d love to work with.
The main reason I wasn’t offered the role was that they needed someone with hands-on experience in the Symfony framework, and while I have extensive experience with PHP, I hadn’t worked with Symfony specifically. They were looking for someone who could start contributing immediately.
