      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Sharingbox (Brooklyn, NY) nel mese di mag 2019

      Colloquio

I applied for the Junior Producer role a few months ago. When I had the initial phone call with the senior producer he let me know that it was actually a Project Manager role, so I thought that was odd to advertise as a JP role. Especially because they were still originally offering the role at 40k despite a PM role being at a higher level. They are a small company though and were more on the chill side, so maybe the benefits outweighed the price tag. I came in to meet with the team, then had a call with the CEO but ultimately was not chosen. A month later they contacted me because they were expanding, I met with the CEO and then another team member. They did increase the salary to 50K as I requested but upon more research I learned it was more of a 60K role. So during the CEO interview I thanked him for the increase but explained that I would need more and was open to negotiating. He said he would get back to me. After the last interview I asked for next steps and never received a timeline. I went on vacation, and let them know when I would be back. Upon my return I waited a bit then asked for an update on two separate occasions with no reply. At that point it was a week since I had been back. The senior producer had unexpectedly gone out of the country, but did answer me once I messaged the CEO for an update. The people themselves were pleasant and the interviews in person went well. However, the actual process was not great as it was a mix of poor timing and poor communication. Eventually they let me know that even though they thought I was a high caliber candidate they were again going in a different direction. They said in their small eco-system they wanted to have an across the board consensus on hires and could not come to that unanimous decision. They were nice and chill, but overall a little too unprofessional when it comes to making timelines and communicating.
