First two interviews with HR, than with the hiring manager, than with HR again, than an "assessment interview" and yet again another interview with HR. This all took approx. three months.
Referees i listed where required to provide input via email, yes that is required. When one person requested to provide that by phone or in person he was shouted at by HR and told that information other than provided via email wold not be taken into consideration.
If the role you apply for requires access to specific information be aware that investigation into your background will take place, not always with you knowing about it. This investigation can be a breach of European data privacy legislation in some occasions.
