I had a phone interview with HR, which went well. Then they called me back to schedule an in-person interview.
I interviewed with two people. I was able to answer all of their questions well because my experience was similar to what they're looking for.
About a week later the HR person called me back to tell me that they had selected another candidate. He said they chose someone who had more direct client management experience. While I'm stronger in analytics, I do have direct client experience as well. Many of their current employees have backgrounds similar to mine. I think it was something else, possibly my age (50+), maybe they didn't think my personality was a good fit, or maybe something else.
The process moved along quickly and it was very nice that HR called me personally to deliver the news that they had selected someone else.
They asked relatively normal interview questions, nothing overly difficult. Met with a few different teams all representing different accounts/brands. They explained the role and responsibility in detail, I didn't leave feeling as if there was anything I was unsure of. Overall a good experience.
