The interview process with Shopee started off very well. The sessions went smoothly, and both the HR and hiring manager were friendly and supportive. They listened to everything I shared and offered thoughtful responses to the questions they asked. However, the post-interview communication was disappointing. After completing what was supposed to be the final interview (with the hiring manager), I followed up with HR for an update. I received a reply asking for a quick call which gave me high hopes but after I responded, I never heard back. I followed up twice via email, but still received no reply and it has been a week. It was disheartening especially after investing so much time and energy and genuinely hoping to join the Shopee team. Even a short email to close the loop would have been appreciated. It’s a small gesture that goes a long way in showing respect for a candidate’s time and effort.
