The data analyst interview I attended was a comprehensive process aimed at assessing both technical and analytical skills. Conducted virtually, the interview consisted of multiple rounds, each with a specific focus. The initial round involved questions about data handling, Power BI, and Excel, gauging I's practical knowledge and experience in dashboard creation and reporting. Subsequent rounds included assessments in SQL and Python, where I was asked to solve case studies and demonstrate data manipulation skills. The interviewers placed a strong emphasis on I’s previous experience in market research audits, ad hoc analysis, and knowledge of cloud computing and ETL. Additionally, they were interested in I’s experience with tools like PySpark and Kafka, as well as their prior role as a PPC executive managing Amazon ad accounts. I found the interview challenging but appreciated the opportunity to showcase their skills and felt it provided valuable insights into the expectations for data analysts in the industry.
