Applied a few days before the deadline. I wasn't planning on applying to jobs until I'm fully located and settled in Toronto but I saw this job and it was perfect for me. I had direct experience with what they wanted and it's my favorite role to work at, so I couldn't resist! I got invited to interview in less than 3 weeks after deadline. Interviews were in person, 30 mins (the job is strictly in-person). but I wasn't in Toronto at the time so I had virtual interview. they were very responsive and nice arranging online meeting for me. My interview took 45 mins, it was very friendly and felt like a conversation. I met the manager and another person I would be working with. I felt very comfortable asking questions from them. At the end of interview they asked for my references. I was very positive and happy about this but it's been 2 weeks from interview and they haven't contacted my references yet. I also sent a follow-up email a week ago but I got no response from them. I am assuming that this is a "rejection"! I won't be applying to other jobs for now (unless there's a similar opening somewhere). But it was a great experience for me. I truly enjoyed it. And to the person who got the job: I feel very jealous of you! I know you deserved it and I hope you enjoy working there.
