Got blown off by the HR person, eventually got back in touch with him and that call was very easy. Had a call with the hiring manager, awesome guy and it was very friendly and conversational. Sent portfolio and resume and was asked to interview with the bigger team in person. Met the hiring manager for 30 mins and had a good second chat. The next hour was a joke: the team (5-6 people) were completely unprepared to interview me. Got a lot of odd looks and long silent pauses. The job title doesn't really exist anywhere else, so I'm not sure they even know what they want from the candidate. I was clear about my experience and core competencies, but they were not clear about almost anything in our conversation. Very disappointed.
