In-house talent-scout asked me to apply. I did two web-cam interviews, and one timed programming task via hackerrank. I did not like the fact that they made it timed, with a 90min clock ticking in your face, as it puts unnecessary stress on the process. I got an offer (definitely on low side) but came with an expiry. I told them there were 2 companies in contention for me, so I needed to finish both applications. Still they yanked the offer after expiry. Frankly, that made no sense: they are growing a team, they were not filling a single seat vacancy. And the start-date was 5 wks away. They knew I needed time, the offer was still yanked. Unprofessional hiring manager: - cancelled a phone meeting at the exact planned time, no advanced warning. - forgot about another scheduled phone call, and did not apologise for missing the appointment, just pretended to be 'busy' by shuffling some papers around. - invokes offer deadline.
