I applied online and received an email to schedule a phone screen with the recruiter. They were 10 minutes late to the 30 minute call and hadn’t looked over my resume. They were new in their role and couldn’t answer some general questions about team structure/operations (which is fine…it takes a bit of time to get oriented to a new company). I didn’t have a good understanding of the role after our conversation, and wasn’t confident the recruiter would advocate for me as a candidate. I withdrew from consideration before hearing about next steps.
