The first interview went well enough. The company appears to be a very exciting one and they make a great product. Overall, the company appears to have a good culture, but the manager that I was interviewing with seemed toxic to his particular team. When I asked him the last time he was proud of one of his employee's accomplishments, he took over a minute to come up with an answer. When asked how he celebrated that accomplishment, he stated "I give her a paycheck." This tells me that good work goes generally unnoticed and definitely uncelebrated. By the end of that interview, the manager and I both had a fairly good idea that I would not enjoy working there and agreed the fit was not good.
