During my phone interview, my interviewer asked for my salary expectations. After I gave it to her, she immediately moved onto the next question. Which I found concerning. Interviewers will then usually tell you whether the company will be able to meet that expectation. For the rest of the phone interview, my interviewer sounded detached, as if she had already made up her mind to reject me. I was right. I received a rejection email 24 hours later. I suspect it was due to my salary requirements. Fair enough, but the interviewer should have been more upfront and honest about it.
