Intro call with recruiter, phone call with hiring manager, on-site with the team, and zoom video call with the VP. I truly believe the company and product have a lot of potential and Snowflake could be a good place to work, but the hiring process needs a complete overhaul. The first red flag was when the interview panel list changed last minute while I was onsite and I spoke with multiple people form different departments with no heads up. That’s said, I did well in the interview and moved on to the final stage, which according to the recruiter also went well. Then that’s when the confusion started. Initially I was told I was a “yes” pending official feedback and next steps. Then I learned that the team was insistent upon seeing at least one other candidate before making her decision (I was the only candidate out of several that came onsite that made it through the full process). I was fine with this part of the process until weeks and weeks went by with No communication from the team. I eventually heard from the recruiter about 3 weeks later letting me know that they moved forward with another candidate which I appreciated. I think the recruiting team is doing their best but there appears to be poor communication internally.
