I had a Zoom 1:1 interview with a manager. It was the least friendly interaction I have ever had for an internship. She had made up her mind after 5 seconds of the call, I couldn’t help but think it was due to racial prejudice. Because of the other Glassdoor reviews on this firm criticizing their gross lack of diversity, I’m not surprised by her behavior towards me as a BiPOC. The questions were easy and straightforward—not sure she listened though.

I applied a few years ago for a student internship. Hiring manager emailed me to schedule an interview. However, I was ghosted because they never responded again. It was strange because they were the ones who showed interest in me. I would have preferred getting a rejection email instead of being led on but left hanging. Ghosting was very unprofessional of them; this isn't dating LOL.
