      Colloquio per Flight Attendant

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 4 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Spirit Airlines (Las Vegas, NV) nel mese di apr 2016

      Colloquio

I applied for the flight attendant position in February 2016. I received an email from them late March 2016 stating that they are interviewing in Las Vegas on April 7, 2016. I RSVP'd to the Las Vegas event. I'll try my best to just speak about the important details in my review. As everyone has probably read on this website, the Las Vegas interview event usually garners about 200+ interviewees. To my luck, they allowed us to come the day before the event to register early so that we would not have to wait on a long line the morning of the event. I went the day before the event to register. Even though it was a day early to register, there was about 60 people who were there. We were given a colored name tag and number. I come back the next day to about 200+ flight attendant hopefuls. I told myself, "Good thing I registered yesterday!" or else it would have been crazy registering the morning of. Here is the breakdown of the day: - We started the morning with a presentation about the airline and they answered questions if we had any. - Everyone was broken into groups of about 60 candidates by our name tag color. - In each breakout session, everyone got up to introduce themselves and answered one question that we had to pick from a fishbowl. - After everyone introduced themselves and answered their question, we were given a 15 minute break. - After the break, the staff called out numbers and those who got called had to step out into the hallway. *For those who have read the reviews on here, this meant that if you are called then you are not moving forward.* I almost had a heart attack because my number was called. - After everyone who was called was out in the hallway, we were told we were still in and moving forward! Contrary to what I read on this website. I was so happy and relieved! - We were then given a 1 hour lunch break and we were told to come back to the main ballroom the info session was held in that morning. - When I came back from break, less then half of the interviewees from the morning were left. I was so thankful at that point for making it that far. - We were then called by groups of 5 for a 2-to-1 interview. A current Spirit Airlines flight attendant and an HR representative conducted the interviews. Each candidate waited outside of a room until they were called in to do their 2-to-1 interview. This was everyone's "time to shine." I think this was one of the best parts of the interview because the staff was so nice and welcoming. - We were then moved to a "decision room." This was the most nerve-wracking part of the interview process, because we would find out if we made it or not. - After a short wait, I was called outside of the decision room and I was told I was selected to move forward to training! I was so happy at this point and thankful. I started to tear up because this has been something I've wanted to do for the longest time. - Now comes what was probably the longest part of the interview process. We had to fill out paperwork and perform a drug test. I didn't even care if it took long because I was just so happy that I was selected for training! TIPS: - Be professional and dress the part. The staff will be watching you like a hawk. - Listen to the directions you are given by the staff. I feel like this is a make-it or break-it factor for them. Being a flight attendant, you have policies and directions you must follow. If you cannot follow simple directions, then what makes you think you can follow more important directions. - Be able to think quick. You have to answer the questions given to you in a timely manner. Your answers need to be direct and straight to the point. You should not ramble. - Be yourself and be personable. I know that sounds cliche, but it's the truth. Spirit Airlines is looking for people who genuinely care about their work and for others. You have to be able to talk to them, and I mean TALK to them. You have to have excellent communication skills, you have to be eloquent, and you must be a good listener. You have to be able to show that you are not shy and that you don't mind speaking to people you just met. - Be thankful. Whether you make it or not, be thankful for the experience and for what you have learned from it. Training is coming up in a week and I am so looking forward to it! I hope to see some familiar faces!

I applied over the website. They send out emails. You reply to the email with your availability. They sent me a link to a Zoom call. Asked me personality questions and then we set up another interview in Houston Texas.
