      Colloquio

The interview process was very easy. I applied for the position through a job board and got a phone call within a day and my interview was set up for the very next morning. I was completely excited because when I searched the address in my phone it came up as SAMSUNG and when I arrived there was the SAMSUNG corporate office...don't get too excited, Inc 2000 shares an office space in one of two buildings Samsung uses. So I arrived on time to my interview and was greeted by the receptionist/administrative assistant Kaitlyn who was extremely friendly and welcoming. There were two others waiting to be interviewed which was the first red flag for me. I was able to engage in conversation with the receptionists and one of the other potential hirees which raised the 2nd of many red flags. For instance, the job description required a 4 year degree but in conversation I learned that the guy next to me had only a high school diploma. This is no offense to people with HS diplomas, but if the job description requires a 4yr degree and you don't meet that qualification that I would assume that your experience in marketing makes up for it; he shared that he had been working as a manager in the mall for the past few years so he didn't have the required school training or experience. As the guy next to me went in for his interview I stayed in the lobby conversing with Kaitlyn which raised the 3rd and 4th red flags; she shared that she'd moved to the state only 3 weeks ago THEN when I asked about how her 3 weeks at the company had been she told me it was only her 3rd day but she proceeded to tell me why the company was so amazing. Finally in my interview the lady (can't remember her name) was overly interested in me and very vague with the information about the company; she told me that it was just to get a feel of who I am and that the real interview is the 2nd interview. I was told that I would be brought back in for a second interview where I would "go out" with current employees and see what they do...I knew going out meant door to door which I was not doing. After going out, I would meet the president of the company.
