HR Interview, Conceptual and Coding. First there is a call, then meet up for an HR interview, a bit of a conversation to talk about future plans. Followed by a conceptual interview with some concepts depending on the curriculum chosen. Nothing else to describe there.

First there is a CV review to make sure the skill matches are there. Afterwards I was invited to a group zoom meeting with other prospective mentors. In this meeting we were introduced to the interview process and how interactions with the students (our mentees) would be carried. It was a good intro to Springboard itself and how they conduct business. Then an individual interview was scheduled with a member of their team. The interview started with introductions and the usual general descriptions of who we were and what work was expected of us. The core of the interview was a 5 minute explanation of a topic of our choice. It did not have to be a technical topic and we were not allowed any props or slides to assist - just a verbal description. Obviously this as to assess whether we could communicate ideas to our mentees. We were given plenty of warning about the requirement for a 5 minute lesson so you could prepare as much as you required before scheduling the meeting
