I was called for a brief, informal 15 minute discussion with the R&D manager. It was just a screening to see if I met the qualifications and understood the details of the position. This was followed up by a formal phone interview with the same manager and another R&D worker. It was reasonably laid back and there were no unexpected questions. Then I spoke to the higher-up R&D manager and he asked even more general questions. Overall it was a good experience.
