Usually a quick process, possibly 2-4 interviews. Questions are both behavioral and technical. Moderate difficulty. Once you are accepted the process is pretty quick, HR contacts you right away, makes an offer and tries to close the deal.

Had online interviews with three people — two were from the same team, while the last one was from another team. The interviews went relatively smoothly, and interviewers were all pleasant and friendly. It was the process with the HR team that was a nightmare . The HR team - who is not based in Singapore is disorganised, unprofessional, and also if I may put it bluntly — totally inconsiderate of the candidates' experience. After trying to lowball me in the first outreach email (I had responded that my asking was within the salary range posted online) - the recruiter proceeded to get me to lock in an interview session without sharing any context as to who i'll be meeting with (hiring manager or screening call etc.) - and this repeated over the 3 x interviews that I did. I also had to email multiple times in order to wrangle basic information like the interviewers' names and designations prior to these interviews. And if you do not reply during the day within a few hours, you get chased and hounded, but you'd have to send multiple follow ups before the recruiter even shares basic information like interviewers' profile. It's been 2 weeks since my last round of interview, during which I had followed up three times to check in for an update. It is totally fine if the team hasn't decided on a candidate or if the decision is to go with another candidate — but I'd imagine it is basic courtesy to spend 30secs to just respond with something like "We are still in the midst of interviewing / we will not be moving forward with your profile "etc. ? What you get instead is total radio silence and disregard for the candidates' experience - even though I had highlighted that I'd need an update as I've heard back from another company. This makes me question the quality of the employees at Standard Chartered, and they should be worried about these recruiters losing special talents and solid potential hires who can make a true impact to the organisation due to this experience. All the best to Standard Chartered if you're letting a HR team with these values and of this calibre manage the hiring process.

Applied for a marketing role under standard chartered Nexus in Singapore. Went through 2 rounds of interview. Last interview was with the Chief of Staff. Didn’t get good vibes from her and was not a pleasant experience being interviewed by her, especially when she gave some unsolicited comments about me as a person. In the end no offer after 2 weeks, just got ghosted by the recruiters. Complete waste of time. FYI It is a definitely also a very fast paced and high stress environment so I’m glad I did not get the position anyway and that she won’t be my boss. No thanks.
