email from recruiter, then interviewed with 2 district managers, was asked basic questions of past experiences handling both employees and customers in difficult situations, looking for real life examples not hypothetical answers. district managers seemed to be looking for a person oriented to and interested in the operations side of retail, a person looking to grow their career in operations management. looking for candidate with experience in managing a team of employees and experience in providing excellent customer service. it is a good idea to come up with specific examples of problems you have encountered at work and how you solved the problem.
