The majority of the people I met with honestly seemed miserable working at Stitch Fix and when I asked what they liked about working at Stitch Fix, every single person gave the same robotic answer - that they're "bright, kind and motivated by challenge". Interviewers did not come across as any of these things though. What's worse is I was asked to do three separate take home projects. One is understandable, two is excessive and three is just ridiculous and clearly taking advantage of their candidates and the interview process. One of the assignments was to do a full vendor comparison which should take about a week to complete if doing it correctly - although they claimed that part, plus the other assignment, PLUS putting together a 30 minute presentation should "only take you an hour or two". And the absolute worst part of the whole experience is that after one month of time consisting of seven interviews, three unpaid projects, and one presentation, I was notified that they would not be moving forward...BY EMAIL. The fact that they couldn't even give the courtesy of a phone call after all of the time and energy invested in their process speaks volumes to how they treat their employees (see the hundreds of negative Glassdoor reviews to read more on this).
