After applying online, I got a call to come in for an interview a few days later. Upon arriving, the manager was running a bit late, so I had to wait for quite a while. The actual interview was really relaxed, I just had to tell something about myself, describe why do I want to work at that particular bar and a few more general questions. Overall, it was a pretty easy interview and I was offered the job on the spot.

My interviewer was welcoming and personable, the questions were standard. The process seemed to be measuring whether you were someone who would be comfortable in a pub environment, rather than assessing competence.
