I applied online. I received a response from SumZero a few days after I applied requesting a phone screen. I was asked a couple of technical questions during the phone screen. A few days after the phone screen, I emailed them asking for an update on my application. SumZero responded saying they will reach out to me soon about the next steps. It has been over a month and a half and I still haven't received a follow-up email. It would be helpful to at least send a rejection email.

The interview process was very smooth. It was a cultural interview and the interviewer did a great job of making the whole process seem like a fun conversation. The interview was fairly straightforward. I was asked a few technical questions, but no white-boarding in the first round.
